TERMS AND CONDITIONS

You will be asked to sign a copy of this during
your induction before you use the field.

You and your dogs

You are of course welcome to walk your dog(s) with family/friends, however group bookings that involve multiple dogs from different households will need to be organised via email in advance.

No more than 5 dogs should be on the field at the same time.
If you have 4 or 5 dogs they will need to be accompanied by at least two people.

You agree not to let anyone else onto the field other than any friends or family members you have brought with you to enjoy walking your dogs.

By bringing friends or family, or sending somebody in place of you, you agree that you take full responsibility for their safety and for ensuring that they abide by these terms and conditions at all times whilst using the field.

At your own risk – uneven ground, long grass

You agree that your use of the field is at your own risk, and agree not to hold ‘Walkies Secure Field’, its owners or staff responsible for any injury to you, your family/friends or your dogs arising from your use of the field. The field is a large outdoor space, and contains areas of uneven ground which could be concealed under long grass or other vegetation, has overhanging branches from trees around the edges which may fall or have fallen and could contain other hazards consistent with the countryside.

Children

You are welcome to bring your children to the field, but they must be supervised at all times, and you are responsible for making sure that they do not injure themselves or break any of these terms and conditions. Please be aware that the field has not been made child safe, and that certain elements may pose an additional hazard to children (barbed wire runs in the fence, and non-child proof dog poo bins for example).

Buildings and specific obstacles

You agree not to enter any buildings on the field.
By signing these terms and conditions you are stating that you have been shown the fuel containers and the metal polytunnel feet. You must make any visitors you bring to the field aware of these obstacles.

The fence

Although we will be inspecting and maintaining the fence regularly, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to a number of reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches, and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the state of the fence, please let us know immediately so that we can make other users aware and so that we can fix it as soon as possible. We cannot however, take any responsibility for any dog escaping the field whether or not this is through a defect in the fence, and regardless of whether we have notified you in advance or not. The fence contains some runs of barbed wire.

Using the field

It is your responsibility to pick up all of your dog’s waste and dispose of it in accordance with Walkies Secure Field’s policy, details can be found on the website.
Only use the bags provided.
No latex gloves, chewing gum, cigarettes, etc in the dog bins. Only dog waste and the bags provided.

Failure to do so could result in being banned from the facility.

You must enter the field and close the gate before letting your dog(s) out of your vehicle to ensure the safety of the dog(s), nearby road users and members of the public.
Failure to do so could result in being banned from the facility.

If you make a booking with less than 24 hours to go before it begins, you will unfortunately not receive the reminder email with the key safe code and will have to contact us to obtain it. Please be aware of normal working hours for your contact to be received.

Please ensure that you do not arrive early for your booking and vacate the field on time, leaving it secure at the end of your booking. Padlock the gate. The horizontal bolt should not move meaning it is secure. Do not let anyone in after you – they should have the code to enter themselves.
Failure to do so could result in being banned from the facility.

There is a 10-minute gap between bookings to avoid people and their dogs meeting. There should be nobody on the field or parked outside it during this 10-minute gap.
Failure to adhere to this could result in being banned from the facility.

Please only park on the hardstanding (i.e. the gravelled area) within the field gate and not outside it in any circumstance. Do not park or drive on the grass.
