TERMS AND CONDITIONS

You will need to agree to these conditions
in your induction before you use the field.

You and your dogs

You are of course welcome to walk your dog(s) with family/friends, however group bookings that involve multiple dogs from different households will need to be organised via email in advance.
victoria@walkiessecurefield.co.uk

No more than 5 dogs should be on the field at the same time.
If you have 4 or 5 dogs they will need to be accompanied by at least two people.

You agree not to let anyone else onto the field other than any friends or family members you have brought with you to enjoy walking your dogs.

By bringing friends or family, or sending somebody in place of you, you agree that you take full responsibility for their safety and for ensuring that they abide by these terms and conditions at all times whilst using the field.

At your own risk – uneven ground, long grass

You agree that your use of the field is at your own risk, and agree not to hold ‘Walkies Secure Field’, its owners or staff responsible for any injury to you, your family/friends or your dogs arising from your use of the field. The field is a large outdoor space, and contains areas of uneven ground which could be concealed under long grass or other vegetation, has overhanging branches from trees around the edges which may fall or have fallen and the field could contain other hazards consistent with the countryside. In late Summer/Autumn the field may contain mushrooms or spent corn cobs which will be removed periodically but could cause harm if ingested. The field is a wild flower meadow and can attract bees and wasps.

Children

You are welcome to bring your children to the field, but they must be supervised at all times, and you are responsible for making sure that they do not injure themselves or break any of these terms and conditions. Please be aware that the field has not been made child safe, and that certain elements may pose an additional hazard to children (barbed wire runs in the fence, and non-child proof dog poo bins for example).

The fence

Although we regularly inspect and maintain the fence, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to a number of reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches, and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the state of the fence, please let us know immediately so that we can make other users aware and so that we can fix it as soon as possible. We cannot however, take any responsibility for any dog escaping the field whether or not this is through a defect in the fence, and regardless of whether we have notified you in advance or not. The fence contains some runs of barbed wire in the upper half.

The facility

Your booking is for the purposes of dog exercise only, no barbecues, alcohol, drone operation etc are permitted.

Do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten treats in the field.

Take your rubbish home.

If your dog is shedding please use a dog bag and dispose of the dog hair at home.

Bookings

Bookings are non-refundable.
All bookings must be paid for in advance.
No cash must be left at the field.
Payments are either made via credit/debit card or by bank transfer.

Rescheduling

It is possible to reschedule bookings if you login to the calendar on the website. You may reschedule bookings up until 2 days (48 hours) in advance of when you are due to walk.

If you cancel your booking it will not be refunded.

Weather conditions and rescheduling

If you know that you will not be able to walk your dogs in more extreme weather (very hot days/snow/gales/etc) then please login to the booking calendar and acquaint yourself with the rescheduling tool (48 hours notice required).

Banned breeds

Unfortunately we are unable to take bookings for banned breeds.

Your dogs - health

Do not bring your dog to the field if they are or have been unwell in the last 48 hours or your vet has advised to not exercise or socialise with others. Doing so could be harmful to your dog(s) and other dogs.

If your dog has shown signs of Kennel Cough, Sickness or Diarrhoea in the past 72-hours, you should not attend the field under any circumstance.

Your dog(s) must be microchipped (this is a legal requirement pursuant to The Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2016).

Dogs must be regularly treated for flea, tick and worm prevention and be fully vaccinated.

Please ensure you bring water for your dog to drink in warm weather.

Using the field

1. Picking up

It is your responsibility to pick up all of your dog’s waste and dispose of it in the bins provided.
Only dog waste in tied dog bags should go in the bins.
No latex gloves, chewing gum, cigarettes, drinks cans, food packets etc in the dog bins.

2. Reporting dog mess
Please report any dog mess left by other members by taking a photo of it and sending to me on the day of your walk - this is a really useful system for keeping the facility clean for all! Thank you.
victoria@walkiessecurefield.co.uk or TEXT to 07403380377

3. Arriving/Leaving

Please ensure that you do not arrive early for your booking.

Vacate the field on time, leaving it secure at the end of your booking.
Padlock the gate.

The correct entry code should not be left visible on the key safe/padlock during your walk or when you leave.

Do not let anyone in after you – they should have the code to enter themselves.

4. Entering the field

You must drive into the field, close the gate and be ready to walk before letting your dog(s) out of your vehicle to ensure the safety of the dog(s), nearby road users and members of the public.

Top tip - Have your dog bags ready and correct footwear on before letting the dogs out and you will be able to give them your full attention.

5. 10-minute gap

There is a 10-minute gap between bookings to avoid people and their dogs meeting. There should be nobody on the field or parked outside it during this 10-minute gap. This gap is very important to lots of members with reactive dogs so please always adhere to this condition.

6. Parking

Please only park on the hardstanding (i.e. the gravelled area) within the field gate and not outside it in any circumstance. Do not park or drive on the grass.
